FAQ
Schedule C questions
What counts as gross receipts?
Payments you recorded in that calendar year, by payment date.
How is parts cost counted?
Your cost on parts, counted in the year of the payment that paid the job in full. If a job is paid across two years, each payment counts toward gross receipts in the year you received it, and the whole parts cost counts in the year of the final payment.
Is this my tax return?
No. It's a summary to hand your tax preparer, not tax advice. Confirm everything with your tax professional.
