Privacy Policy — WrenchStrike

WrenchStrike is built so your business data stays yours. This policy explains what the app does — and doesn't do — with information.

Information stored on your device. Jobs, customers, vehicles, invoices, estimates, payments, expenses, photos, signatures, and settings you enter are stored locally on your iPhone. We (Home Run Unit LLC) cannot access, view, or receive this information.

iCloud backup (optional). If you enable backup, your data is copied to your personal iCloud account in a private container managed by Apple. It is protected by your Apple ID and Apple's encryption. We have no access to your iCloud data. You can disable auto-backup in Settings at any time.

VIN decoding. When you scan or type a VIN, the app sends that VIN over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) to the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's public vPIC service to look up the vehicle's year, make, model, and engine. Only the VIN is sent, only when you request a decode, and we do not receive or store it on any server of ours. NHTSA's service is operated by the U.S. government.

Subscriptions. WrenchStrike Pro is purchased through Apple. Payment is handled entirely by the App Store; we never see your payment details. Manage or cancel anytime in your App Store subscription settings.

Camera and photos. The camera is used only to scan VIN barcodes and to attach photos to your jobs, with your permission. Photos are stored on your device (and in your iCloud backup if enabled).

Your customers' information. Details you record about your own customers (names, phone numbers, vehicles) are stored on your device for your use. We never receive them. As the business owner, you are responsible for handling your customers' information appropriately.

Data deletion. You can delete any record inside the app, or delete the app to remove all local data. To remove iCloud backup data, disable auto-backup and manage the app's iCloud data in your device's iCloud settings. You can also export everything as CSV from Settings at any time — your data is never locked in.

Children. WrenchStrike is a business tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Your rights. Because we do not collect, sell, or share personal information, there is nothing for us to sell, share, or disclose under privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act. If you have any privacy question or request, contact us and we'll help.

Changes. If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the effective date above.
